WOCCI to enhance PLASCHEMA’s capacity

A national NGO called Women and Children in Support of Community Development Initiative, WOCCI, has come up with an intervention that will enhance Plateau State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency, PLASCHEMA capacity for the enrollment of individuals and families among Plateau State’s informal sector.
This initiative which is in line with the universal health care coverage, kicks-off in 2 of LGAs of Plateau State namely Bassa and Barkin Ladi for the period of 2 months, January and February, 2023.
Activities include awareness campaigns targeting 5, 000 individuals through advocacy visits and the social media. There will also be road shows to boost enrollment by at least 10%.
This partnership which was sealed after series of meetings between the leadership of PLASCHEMA led by the Director General, Dr Agabus Nanfwang Manasseh, the Director of Planning & Research, Dr Julfa Nden, and WOCCI’s Executive Director, Mrs Edwina Jyi Mang, and Director Programs Quality, Mr Albert Pam; has the support of Christian Aid and Development Governance International Foundation (DGIF). The project aims at significantly improving health care access in Plateau State, especially within the informal sector.
